Top 10 college football QBs returning for 2024 season
8. Kyle McCord
While McCord had a rough exit from Ohio State, the new Syracuse quarterback actually had a strong season this past fall. He finished No. 28 in passing yards, No. 24 in passing yards per game, tied for No. 23 in touchdown passes and No. 12 in passing efficiency. However, McCord struggled to lead the Buckeyes offensive unit as the team finished ranked No. 47 in total offense and No. 44 in scoring. McCord himself finished ranked tied for No. 47 in individual scoring per game.
Though his team’s success offensively wasn鈥檛 spectacular, McCord certainly proved to be among the upper echelon of quarterbacks in the country last year. In a new environment, perhaps McCord can fix his weaknesses and lead the Orange to success next season.
