Jonah Coleman enters transfer portal; 5 landing spots for RB
1. Washington
It’s likely the main reason Coleman is in the transfer portal is the departure of Jedd Fisch from Arizona, and it seems like following his former head coach to Washington is the most likely path for the running back. Not only would there be a reunion with Fisch, offensive coordinator Brennan Carroll and running backs coach Scottie Graham in Seattle, but Coleman would likely step into a feature role from day one as the Huskies’ leading rusher in 2023, Dillon Johnson, recently declared for the NFL draft, while backups Will Nixon and Cameron Davis haven’t yet proven capable of succeeding with a large workload like Coleman. There’s no doubt Washington will have a new look next year after reaching the national championship game under Kalen DeBoer in 2023, and a skilled player like Coleman could help ease the transition.
