Meet exceptional Kearney football player Cameron Emmons

KEARNEY, Mo. — Kearney Bulldog senior Cameron Emmons had an outstanding football season, earning First-Team All-State honors as a running back. He also was First-Team All-Conference and All-District. Emmons averaged over 7 yards a carry and had 27 touchdowns for this senior campaign. He averaged almost 9 yards a carry in his junior season. He has the school record for the longest touchdown from scrimmage at 94 yards.

He was a finalist for the Frank Fontana Award for the best Class 1-4 player in the KC Metro and was selected to the All-Simone team. Emmons led the Bulldogs to the state championship. He was awarded the 810 Varsity Sports’ Performance of the Week for his game versus Hillsboro to win the state title.
