Meet exceptional Kearney football player Cameron Emmons
KEARNEY, Mo. — Kearney Bulldog senior Cameron Emmons had an outstanding football season, earning First-Team All-State honors as a running back. He also was First-Team All-Conference and All-District. Emmons averaged over 7 yards a carry and had 27 touchdowns for this senior campaign. He averaged almost 9 yards a carry in his junior season. He has the school record for the longest touchdown from scrimmage at 94 yards.
He was a finalist for the Frank Fontana Award for the best Class 1-4 player in the KC Metro and was selected to the All-Simone team. Emmons led the Bulldogs to the state championship. He was awarded the 810 Varsity Sports鈥� Performance of the Week for his game versus Hillsboro to win the state title.
