9. Virginia Tech
Virginia Tech had made five consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances before narrowly missing the Big Dance last year, instead winding up in the NIT. Mike Young鈥檚 Hokies may have a chance to reach the NCAA Tournament again in 2024 and have picked up some nice wins early on over Boise State and Iowa State, while losing to some tough teams like South Carolina, Auburn, Florida Atlantic and Wake Forest. The blowout nature of those games may spark some cause for concern, but the Hokies are a team that鈥檚 capable of finishing in the top half of the ACC behind talented center Lynn Kidd and returning guards Hunter Cattoor and Sean Pedulla. Better play from transfers like Tyler Nickel and Robbie Beran could be key down the stretch.
