Ranking each ACC basketball team as conference play begins
1. North Carolina
The ACC often comes down to North Carolina and Duke and that鈥檚 likely to be the case again come March. Similar to Duke, North Carolina features a nice blend of veterans and young talent this season that has them off to an identical 10-3 start. However, the Tar Heels have arguably earned better wins up to this point over Tennessee, Arkansas and Oklahoma. Two of their losses have also come to top-15 teams: UConn and Kentucky. UNC鈥檚 talented seniors will likely have them in the conference race until the end as RJ Davis averages over 21 points while Armando Bacot has put up 14.9 points and 10.8 rebounds per game. Combined with the play the Tar Heels are getting from transfer wings Cormac Ryan and Harrison Ingram, and the flashes freshman Elliot Cadeau has shown, the sky鈥檚 the limit for North Carolina going forward.
