Alan Bowman gets 7th year; Top QBs from his recruiting class
3. JT Daniels
Daniels had a whirlwind college experience after joining the USC Trojans in 2018 as the No. 16 overall recruit and No. 2 pro-style quarterback in the class. He became just the second Trojans true freshman to start a season opener and went on to start 11 games as a freshman. Daniels would miss all but one game of his sophomore season after suffering a season-ending knee injury in the season opener.
The quarterback transferred to Georgia in 2020 and started the Bulldogs final four games. Daniels was initially named the Bulldogs starter for the 2021 season but only started three games before being replaced by Stetson Bennett. He then transferred to West Virginia where he started 10 games. This fall, Daniels started nine games for Rice, throwing for 2,443 yards, 21 touchdowns and seven interceptions before his retirement from football and desire to go into coaching.
