6. St. John鈥檚

First-year head coach Rick Pitino took over a Red Storm team that went 7-13 in conference play a season ago. They added 10 transfers in the offseason and are tasked with finding chemistry as quickly as other team鈥檚 cores who have been playing together for years. St. John鈥檚 took care of Xavier and Butler and dropped a close game to UConn in their three conference games thus far. Fifth-year senior Joel Soriano has been a force for the Red Storm, putting up 17 points and 10 rebounds per game. If they can make a deep run in March, Soriano will surely be the catalyst.
