Ranking 10 early favorites to win the 2024 Heisman Trophy
7. Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado
It appears that to Colorado in 2024 and he could be in for a big season if he does. Sanders threw for nearly 7,000 yards in two seasons at Jackson State before having an incredible start to the 2023 season in Boulder that included a 510-yard, four-touchdown performance in the Buffaloes’ season-opening upset of TCU. Sanders threw for 3,230 yards, 27 touchdowns and just three interceptions during the regular season with a 69.3% completion rate. Colorado fell off the map a bit toward the end of the year but an improvement in 2024 could help keep Sanders in the Heisman mix, especially if he continues to put up elite numbers.
