Ranking the 10 best non-New Year鈥檚 Six bowl matchups
4 .TaxSlayer Gator Bowl: No. 22 Clemson vs. Kentucky
While Kentucky has lost a few more players than Clemson to the transfer portal thus far, both of these teams should have many of their key players available when they meet in Jacksonville on Dec. 29. It will actually be the 14th time the two programs have met, with their past three games coming in bowl matchups, two of which were won by Clemson.
The Tigers come into this matchup as the ranked team and the favorite which would have been surprising just a few weeks ago. Many were questioning Dabo Swinney as his team began just 4-4, but four consecutive wins since behind a strong defense and talented quarterback Cade Klubnik have Clemson building toward a brighter future. Meanwhile, Kentucky began 4-0 before losing five of its last seven, but a win over No. 10 Louisville to close the season proved the Wildcats are still a threat. Talented halfback Ray Davis could be the key to victory for Kentucky.
