The Bears need a new quarterback after starter Blake Shapen surprisingly entered the transfer portal. With Sawyer Robertson playing poorly this season, Baylor could use another arm in the team鈥檚 quarterback room.
Not only is Baylor close to Schager鈥檚 hometown of Dallas, but new Bears offensive coordinator Jake Spavital is familiar with the signal caller. Back when he was head coach of Texas State, Spavital offered Schager a scholarship, so he saw the quarterback鈥檚 play style would work well in his offense. If the two sides show interest in each other, it could be a perfect match for Schager to reach his full potential.
