Jordan McCloud transferring; 5 landing spots for Sun Belt POTY
4. Washington State
Washington State began the 2023 season 4-0 in Jake Dickert’s second year in Pullman but faltered down the stretch to finish just 5-7. The Cougars have already lost some key offensive players as they begin their offseason including leading wide receiver Josh Kelly and star quarterback Cameron Ward. While those guys will be hard to replace, McCloud could seemingly be a nice fit in offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle’s system as he plays a similar style to Ward – someone who also transferred to the Cougars after a breakout season at a small school: Incarnate Word. McCloud gained experience playing out West during his time in Arizona and could be a nice stop-gap quarterback for Washington State.
