Let’s get to know Jamie!
How did you get into soccer?
Jamie Greenman: I first started playing soccer when I was about five years old. My dad’s family was a huge soccer family so it was a big part of my life growing up. I played on this one team, Holy Cross, for nine years which is where I developed my love for soccer and continued afterwards by playing club and continuing town soccer.
Tell us about the 2023 LHS Soccer Team!
Greenman: Playing soccer at Longmeadow High School has been my favorite part of the school year every year. Our team is a big group of versatile and hardworking girls who challenge each other every day because we are all working towards the same goal. I even got to play with my younger sister, Cameron, for my last two years of high school soccer which has been so much fun.
Where are you going to college? What are your academic hopes?
Greenman: I verbally committed to play D-2 soccer at Southern Connecticut State University where I hope to study nursing. After I graduate from college I hope to become a travel nurse, where I can travel around for a few years to visit many places. Then I would like to settle down, and work at a hospital.
What do you enjoy doing away from school and soccer?
Greenman: I am a very family and friend oriented person – I will either be hanging out with my friends or with my family.
Who is your role model for soccer?
Greenman: My role model has always been Alex Morgan.
Describe how supportive your family is in everything you do in your life.
Greenman: My family has and always will be my biggest supporters. Without question I know my parents will always be there for me to offer support, advice and guidance throughout my whole life. I am so thankful for my parents and all they have done for me.
If you were given a million dollars and had to give it to one charity, which one would you choose?
Greenman: I would choose to donate to the Make A Wish Foundation.

Ask the coach!
“As a senior captain Jamie Greenman has been essential to our team’s success and is a strong leader both on and off the field. Her work ethic is contagious and she raises the level of play every time she steps on the field. She’s kind and supportive of her teammates but is also a fierce competitor. Our team has had much success over the last four years because of Jamie’s contributions to the team. The youth players, my daughter included, have learned a great deal from Jamie about perseverance, resilience and how to compete with grit and grace. We’re so lucky to have had Jamie be a part of our program and can’t wait to see what she makes of the next phase of her journey.” -LHS Soccer Coach Gina Pantuosco
