Back in his day, Emmitt was the star running back for the Gators before making his way to the NFL. Now, over 30 years later, his son has a chance to join the Florida program.
Unfortunately for EJ, finding a role with the Gators is not so easy. Sophomore running backs Montrell Johnson Jr. and Trevor Etienne both excelled this season and have to return for the 2024 season. This would make the backfield incredibly crowded if EJ were to join. While Florida must be considered given EJ鈥檚 connection to the team and visit during high school, he will likely look for a place with more clear opportunities for playing time.
