South Carolina QB Spencer Rattler announced his decision on Wednesday to declare for the NFL draft. Now the Gamecocks need to figure out what is next. The team took a step back in 2023, only winning five games this season. If Shane Beamer has another year like that in Columbia, it could be his last. Luke Doty was Rattler鈥檚 backup, but he is not viewed to be a starting-caliber signal caller in the SEC. Dante Reno is interesting out of the 2024 class, but he should not be relied on as a true freshman. Uiagalelei could be the guy to get South Carolina back on track.
