Jonathan Smith to MSU; 5 Oregon State head coach candidates
2. Ryan Grubb
Grubb is in line to become a head coach at a high-level program thanks to the success he has seen at Washington over the last two seasons. As the Huskies’ offensive coordinator, Grubb has helped lead a prolific attack that has quarterback Michael Penix Jr. in the Heisman conversation this season as the Huskies are a perfect 12-0 and a win away from a College Football Playoff berth. Prior to that, Grubb was an offensive assistant at Fresno State, giving him plenty of experience coaching on the West Coast. Grubb passed up a chance to become Nick Saban’s offensive coordinator at Alabama last offseason but should get head-coaching offers this time around. He would certainly be an upside hire for the Beavers.
