6. Taliyah Parker, G, South Grand Prairie
If not for injuries last season, Parker could鈥檝e been even higher on this list. The 6-foot-1 guard transferred from Putnam City West in Oklahoma to South Grand Prairie in the fall of last year, but missed a couple of months due to an Achilles tendinitis injury. However, despite her long absence, Parker was still able to help the Warriors finish with a 27-7 record and a spot in the regional quarterfinals.
Even with her injury, Parker is still considered one of the best prospects in Texas, ranking as high as No. 6 in the state and No. 61 nationally by . This ranking has helped Parker earn scholarships from the likes of Baylor, Duke, Mississippi State, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Oregon and USC but she committed to in-state Texas A&M on Oct. 28.
