Fort Lewis College soccer kicks off the season
DURANGO, Colo. — Fort Lewis College began the fall semester with the strongest soccer team rosters they鈥檝e seen in a while. The men鈥檚 soccer team has added 17 new players this season, bringing the total roster up to 30 players.
Word around campus is that this should be a good year for men鈥檚 soccer. The team players to watch this season are 2022 Second Team All-RMAC honoree Gabriel Legendre, 2022 All-RMAC Honorable Mention Loic Jean-Baptiste, and Tomas Duenes who led with seven assists last season.
The women鈥檚 soccer team has a total of 12 new players and a final team roster of 32 talented players. The women鈥檚 team intends to return to the RMAC for the fifth consecutive year. In their pre-season game against Adams State, the women鈥檚 team looked in top form and hopes are high for their success in the upcoming season.
Players to watch this season are 2022 All-RMAC Honorable Mention Elizabeth David, and Senior Aubrey Swindle who ranked second on the team last year with 29 shots and was on the 2021 RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll.
After a somewhat disappointing 2022 season compared to previous years, FLC is optimistic that this season will prove that the Skyhawks are in better form than ever. Here鈥檚 to another year of RMAC victories! Go Skyhawks!
