Rowan women鈥檚 cross country wins team title at Philly Metro Invite
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — The Rowan Women’s Cross Country Team captured the Philly Metro Invite on Saturday at the Belmont Plateau in the city’s Fairmount Park, totaling 39 points to edge out Stockton in second place with 45 points.
FINAL RESULTS
The Profs had four runners in the top 10 led by Anna Sasse who was second overall on the 5k course in a time of 20:17.8. Mia Guerra took fourth (20:28.2), Ally Wernik was seventh (20:53.9), and Amanda McNally was ninth (21:00.7).
Mackenzie Saber placed 18th (21:50.5) with Abbey Churchill in 20th (22:03.3) to account for the team scoring. In total, the squad had 19 competitors in the race.
Stockton’s Kayla Klass was the overall winner in a time of 20:16.8.
The team returns to action on Saturday, September 23rd for the Dickinson College Long/Short Run in Carlisle, Pa.
