Farmington cheer team receives the Spirit of Excellence Award
RUIDOSO, N.M. — The Farmington High School Cheer Team recently attended a camp in Ruidoso, NM with their choreographers from Spirit Xpress West. The team received the Spirit of Excellence Award as well as many individual awards.

At the camp, they learned new stunting techniques, cheer routines, and made amazing memories together.

FHS Cheer Team head coach, Kayla Cluff, shares, 鈥淐heer is a year-round sport. We start practicing in June and we compete at State in March. We are excited for an amazing season! Let鈥檚 go Scorpions!鈥
Kayla would like to thank their assistant coaches as well, Victoria Acosta and Kodi Moore.

The team loves the opportunity to get involved in their community and was also awarded first place for the Connie Mack World Series parade Cheer/Dance/Walking Group Category.
