As dangerous as a receiver out of the backfield as he is a runner, Simmons has proven to be one of the best dual-threat backs Alabama has to offer. Last season, the running back recorded 120 carries for 753 yards and 11 touchdowns while catching 31 passes for 513 yards and seven more scores for the Wildcats.
Simmons is a highly sought-after recruit as he is ranked as high as a four-star prospect by and , where he is also listed as the No. 15 athlete in the state鈥檚 2024 class. The 6-foot, 170-pound all-purpose back held offers from nine schools including Arkansas, Indiana, UCF and West Virginia, but ultimately chose to stay close to home, committing to in-state Auburn on July 29.
