Top 10 Pennsylvania QBs for 2023 high school football season
3. Alex Erby, Sr., Steelton-Highspire
In his three seasons thus far at Steelton-Highspire, Erby has become a two-time state champion while proving to be one of the best quarterbacks the Keystone State has to offer. In 2022, the first-team all-state quarterback and Class 1A Player of the Year threw for 2,065 yards and 26 touchdowns while completing over 66% of his passes. That followed an impressive 3,000-yard season as a sophomore in 2021. Erby will look to challenge for the No. 1 quarterback spot in Pennsylvania’s Class of 2024 again in his senior season with the Steamrollers before heading off to play college football as he currently holds some high-level offers from the likes of Duke, Louisville, Maryland, Nebraska and Pitt, among others.
