Mill Valley girls soccer breaks through to claim first state title
SHAWNEE, Kan. — Congratulations to the Mill Valley Jaguars on their 2023 KSHSAA Class 6A Girls Soccer State Championship!
The Jaguars finished the regular season as the Sunflower League Runner Up behind Shawnee Mission East. The Jaguars entered the postseason as the #2 seed in the East Bracket. The Jags defeated Leavenworth and Blue Valley Northwest to advance to the quarterfinals, where they defeated Olathe West. In the final four, Mill Valley defeated Washburn Rural and then faced Sunflower League foe Shawnee Mission East in the State Championship. The Jaguars defeated the Lancers 3-0 to claim the 2023 State Championship.
