The Chaparrals are one of the state鈥檚 most consistent programs over the last half decade and have gone 72-4 (14-1 in 2022) with three state championships during that span. Westlake averaged a video game-like 50 points per game and rattled off 14 straight wins before falling to a team to be named later in the playoffs. The Chaparrals have a pair of returning quarterbacks (Paxton Land, Brett Skinner) who saw considerable game action last season so experience shouldn鈥檛 be an issue under center in 2023.
