Top 10 Ohio QBs for 2023 high school football season
2. Ethan Grunkemeyer, Sr., Olentangy
A year ago at this time, Grunkemeyer may not have even cracked the list of the top 10 quarterbacks in Ohio, let alone be in the top two. But after a breakout junior season at Olentangy, the 6-foot-2, 190-pound quarterback has proved he deserves to be ranked as one of the top quarterbacks in the Buckeye State. Last season, Grunkemeyer threw for 2,659 yards, the second-consecutive season he threw for over 2,000 yards for the Braves. He also threw for 25 touchdowns and compiled 29 scores overall while completing passes at a 64.2% clip. Now rated as a nationally in the Class of 2024, Grunkemeyer will follow in the footsteps of Drew Allar 鈥� another former Ohio high school quarterback who had a rapid emergence 鈥� to Penn State next year.
