Smith, a 6-foot-3, 265-pound defensive lineman, committed to the University of Michigan on April 25. A four-star recruit, Smith posted 12 sacks and 29 tackles for loss during his sophomore season. He is the No. 2 player in Connecticut and the older twin brother of Jacob Smith. In his sophomore season, he posted 15 tackles with 11 of them tackles for loss.聽
