Top 10 Alabama QBs for 2023 high school football season
1. KJ Jackson, Sr., Saint James
Jackson takes the top spot on this list thanks to his combination of being a state champion, all-state selection and top recruit. The 6-foot-3, 215-pound quarterback was simply sensational for the Trojans last year, throwing for 2,813 yards, 42 touchdowns and just seven interceptions while rushing for 171 yards and six more scores earning Class 3A second-team all-state honors. He topped his fantastic junior season off with five touchdown passes in the state championship game, breaking the AHSAA record for passing touchdowns in a state title game while giving Saint James their first state championship.
As a unanimous four-star recruit, Jackson had a plethora of high-end offers including from the likes of Kentucky, North Carolina, Ole Miss and Penn State, among others. He ultimately chose to to the Arkansas Razorbacks in April. As the top returning quarterback this season, expect Jackson to once again dominate for the Trojans as they look to defend their state title.
