Following some early action manning the quarterback position during his freshman season, Byrd would use the experience during his sophomore campaign where he enjoyed the full chance to run the team鈥檚 offense. With 2,831 passing yards and 36 touchdowns to just five interceptions, the Cleveland quarterback put the Rams鈥� opponents on watch throughout his second season. With an impressive display passing the ball, the Cleveland quarterback created similar opportunities with his legs, rushing for 549 yards and 14 touchdowns in his team鈥檚 11-1 run.
