9. Joseph Phillips, LB, Booker T. Washington
Another pass rusher, Phillips had a great junior year for the Golden Eagles. The 6-foot-2, 250-pound linebacker finished the campaign with 75 tackles, 19 tackles for loss, nine sacks, four fumble recoveries, two forced fumbles and one defensive TD. He also caught 29 passes for 336 yards and six TDs.
Given his athleticism on both sides of the ball, Phillips earned a consensus four-star ranking including being ranked as the No. 8 player in the state by , his highest ranking by any national recruiting service. As one of the top players in Alabama, Phillips earned 24 offers including from Alabama, Georgia and more, but he ultimately chose to stay in-state with the Auburn Tigers. He will aim to build on his standout junior year this coming season.
