What are your personal goals within your sport/athletic dreams?
Daniel Cojocaru: To play professional basketball.
What is your favorite song or music artist to get you ready for competition?
Cojocaru: Drake.
Do you have a pregame ritual you follow?
Cojocaru:
- Stretching and dribbling.
- Visualization imagination.
- Shooting Routine.
- Team Meetings.
- Listen to music.
- Handshakes and High-Fives with all players.

What has being a member of a team taught you?
Cojocaru: The importance of collaboration, communication, trust, leadership and accountability.
What is the best piece of advice you received from a coach or mentor?
Cojocaru: Never give up, don’t let anyone bring you down and always be a leader.
What do you love about your sport?
Cojocaru: There is so much to cover on this topic, basketball is a fast-paced and physical sport which requires teamwork communication and strategy. Watching how it works together on the court and achieve a common goal is very enjoyable.

Do you play in college? If not, would you like to?
Cojocaru: I am getting into my senior year in Monte Vista, I would like very much to continue and play in college.
Do you have a saying or motto that you like to live by?
Cojocaru: Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.
What do you like to do outside of your sport?
Cojocaru: I need to study so basically not too much time to do things other than sports and study. When I have time I like to read and watch movies.

How would you describe your personality?
Cojocaru: Optimistic, Curiosity and Extroversion.
What is your favorite snack food?
Cojocaru: Fruits, usually apples.
Anything else you鈥檇 like to share?
Cojocaru: I have played basketball since I was 5, my parents are from Israel and they moved to Hong Kong in 2005, I was born in Hong Kong and the same as my Brother Liron. We moved to the USA during the pandemic and we love every minute we are here. My brother just finished Middle School and starting Monte Vista this year. He is also a very good basketball player and I can see a great future for him playing basketball as well. It will be fun to watch him play in Monte Vista and follow the same route as I did when I joined, as a brother hopefully one day we can be on the same team.
