Pat Fitzgerald fired; 5 candidates for new Northwestern HC
CHICAGO (BVM) – Northwestern University announced the dismissal of head football coach Pat Fitzgerald on Monday following an internal investigation of hazing and accusations of racism within the program. Fitzgerald served 13 seasons as head coach following four years playing for the Wildcats in the 1990s.
Head Football Coach Pat Fitzgerald has been relieved of his duties effective immediately, President Michael Schill announced today.
