Top 5 2023 NBA Summer League debuts
Keyonte George, SG, Utah Jazz
George was sensational in his Las Vegas Summer League debut for the Utah Jazz. The former Baylor shooting guard scored 33 points on 12-for-24 shooting from the field and 6-for-15 shooting from three. George also got his teammates involved in the form of 10 assists to get the 6-foot-4 guard a double-double in his debut. The in the draft was going above and beyond expectations. Apparently, George鈥檚 screen saver on his phone is a screenshot of what some believed were his weaknesses heading into the draft. That list said athleticism, three-point shooting, shot selection and his assist to turnover ratio were all weaknesses. In his first Las Vegas Summer League game, he made all of those things look like his strengths.聽聽

It鈥檚 exactly what Utah needs to see out of its guard prospects since it has solidified its frontcourt over the past year. If George can keep this up, a pick-and-roll with him and Lauri Markkanen could be deadly.聽聽
