Durango Demons graduate successful athletic class
DURANGO, Colo. — Congratulations to the recent graduating class of Durango High School!
As a whole, the athletic department celebrated many successes throughout the year. The dedication of our local student-athletes, coaches, volunteers, and families has been incredible. Many programs experienced notable success and celebrated record-breaking seasons. As always, senior day for all sports is a special experience for players and their families as they celebrate together, remember all the moments that led them here, and look forward to their bright futures.
Best of luck on all your endeavors, DHS senior student-athletes, and we look forward to following more great local sports next year. Congratulations again to everyone involved in local high school sports for creating such a successful year all around! Here are some of the accomplishments Durango High School athletes recently achieved, just to name a few:
- The girl’s golf team is the 4A State Championship Runner Up.
- Eight members of the girl’s tennis team qualified for State.
- The girl’s lacrosse team made history winning their first playoff game in school history.
- Girl’s soccer advanced to the second round of the 4A playoffs.
There are many other accomplishments from baseball, swimming, boys lacrosse, girls basketball, wrestling, football, knowledge bowl participants, and more. Keep it up, Demons, and again, congratulations to our recently graduated senior athletes. Once a Demon, always a Demon!
