Young is the highest-rated quarterback in California鈥檚 history and for good reason. As a senior for Mater Dei in 2019, Young threw for 4,528 yards and 58 touchdowns to just six interceptions. He finished his four-year high school career with 13,250 passing yards and 178 total touchdowns. After originally committing to USC, the No. 1 prospect in decided to play for Nick Saban at Alabama.
It was with the Crimson Tide that Young won the 2021 Heisman Trophy, becoming the first Alabama quarterback to do so. He followed the award-winning 2021 campaign 鈥� when he threw for an SEC-best 4,872 yards and 47 touchdowns 鈥� up with another impressive season as a junior in 2022 when he finished sixth in Heisman Trophy voting. Young was selected with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft and will begin his rookie season with the Carolina Panthers against the Atlanta Falcons on Sept. 10.
