6. Maurice Staley, West Charlotte (1991-93)
Another recognizable name, Staley was a standout for the Lions. During his time with the team, he recorded 153 catches for 3,622 yards off of back-to-back 1,300-yard seasons in 1992 and 1993. His play earned Staley a scholarship to the University of Tennessee.
Staley never truly blossomed with the Volunteers however as he finished his career with just 29 catches for 352 yards and one touchdown in two seasons with the team. He made an effort to go to the NFL, but never stuck with a team and is instead a football coach.
