The record-setting Norco star running back enjoyed a high school career that few have topped over the years before his much-renowned collegiate run. Gerhart put together an impressive display in his hometown from 2002-05, posting 9,662 career rushing yards, which at the time put him third all-time in the national record books. The Gatorade California Player of the Year totaled 3,233 yards and scored 39 touchdowns in his senior campaign, leading to a standout college career over the following years at Stanford before a short stint in the NFL.
