2. Derek Homer, Fort Knox (1993-96)
Homer was picked as Kentucky’s Mr. Football in 1996. He rushed for 8,224 yards throughout his high school career. That was a new state record. The 5-foot-9 ball carrier then suited up for the Kentucky Wildcats from 1997-2000. He would finish with 1,689 yards and 11 rushing TDs in blue and white. Homer later played for the F.C. Barcelona Dragons of NFL Europe.
Following the 1996 season Derek Homer of Fort Knox would be selected Kentucky's Mr. Football.
