2. Ben Mauk, Kenton (1999-2002)
Mauk led the Kenton Wildcats to two consecutive state championships (2001 and 2002), but arguably his greatest accomplishment was throwing for 6,540 yards in one season, which is still a national record today. Mauk also finished with 17,364 career passing yards and committed to Wake Forest, where he played for three seasons (2004-06).
