5. J.J. McCarthy, Nazareth Academy
McCarthy is the most recent recruit on the list. The star QB excelled for Nazareth in La Grange before transferring to IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, for his senior season. McCarthy is now the starting quarterback at Michigan, leading it to a College Football Playoff appearance last season.
He enters 2023 with big aspirations for the Wolverines and he could be selected fairly early in the 2024 NFL Draft.
