5. Maddux Madsen, American Fork (2018-21)
Madsen is another Class of 2022 player on this list who proved he will forever be one of the best to come through the Beehive State during his time at American Fork. Madsen鈥檚 best season with the Cavemen arguably came as a junior, as he threw for 4,044 yards and 49 touchdowns. He followed that up with another strong senior campaign in which he had over 3,000 passing yards and 41 total scores.
The standout quarterback threw for an impressive 10,930 yards in his high school career, and also ranks second all time in Utah in career completions (837), career passing touchdowns (130), passing yards in a single game (628), and passing touchdowns in a single game (9). Coming out of American Fork as a three-star quarterback, Madsen committed to Boise State where he saw action in one game last season as a freshman.
