Alana Vawter enters transfer portal; 5 spots for star pitcher
5. Texas
Vawter was committed to the Longhorns back when she was just a sophomore in high school. A coaching change during her senior year made the pitcher reconsider and she ultimately chose Stanford over Texas in her final two. Now, years later, Vawter has a chance to once again head to Austin.
While the Longhorns seem to be set in the circle with a solid group of young pitchers, Vawter would be the best statistically and make the unit elite. Texas also had a great team overall this spring, making it to the super-regional round against Tennessee. If Vawter wants to rewrite her own history while pushing for a championship, the Longhorns give her a strong opportunity to do just that.
THIS. Moments like this make all of the hard work, commitment, and sacrifice worth it.
Watch find out she鈥檚 been named an All-American, and try to keep back the waterworks 馃槶馃ス
