Ostrowski was a product of Portage High School and worked his way up to become a five-star recruit choosing to become a Badger over Notre Dame. He appeared in 11 games as a freshman in 2004 but suffered a broken kneecap and tore his PCL during the 2005 preseason. Ostrowski eventually returned to the field, but he was never the same and stepped away from football in 2007.聽
