1. Rushel Shell, Hopewell (2008-11)聽
Shell is considered one of the best high school football players in the history of Pennsylvania. The Aliquippa, Pennsylvania native was a star from the moment he stepped onto the field at Hopewell High School. As a freshman, he rushed for 1,516 yards and then rushed for over 2,000 yards in his next three seasons. By the end of his high school career, he was the career rushing leader in PIAA history with 9,078 yards, a record that still stands. Shell also broke former Oklahoma Sooners running back Billy Sims鈥� national record by rushing for 100-plus yards in 39 consecutive games. The five-star recruit went on to play for West Virginia following his illustrious high school career.
