Top 10 San Jose State football players of all time
6. Mike Perez, QB (1986-87)
Perez only played two seasons at San Jose but he made them count. In 1986, he led the NCAA in passing yards with 3,225. Perez threw for a total of 6,775 yards as a Spartan; that is sixth all-time at San Jose State. He also notched 40 TD passes, which puts him at No. 8 in school history.
The great Mike Perez. Went to San Jose State. Never really got his shot in NFL despite signing with several teams. Now a Loan officer.
