10 most impactful college players to withdraw from NBA draft
8. Reece Beekman, G, Virginia
Another star defensive guard in the nation, Beekman was selected as the ACC defensive player of the year after he averaged 1.78 steals per game and finished with 57 steals, good for second-most in the conference. In addition to his defensive skills, Beekman also averaged聽 9.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 5.3 assists, with his 168 total assists ranking third in the ACC. This performance helped him earn third-team All-ACC honors.
With four of the Cavaliers‘ top five scorers leaving the team, Beekman will be looked to for both scoring ability and leadership. Given his ability to affect the game at a high level both offensively and defensively, Beekman will be a key member for a Virginia team in search of another title.
