Top 10 pitchers in the 2023 NCAA D-I baseball tournament
9. Quinn Mathews, Stanford
Stanford has been the class of the Pac-12 once again this season, and a big reason why is its veteran pitcher Quinn Mathews. Despite being selected in the MLB draft last year, Mathews returned to Stanford where he has had a strong senior season, going 7-4 with a 3.87 ERA. While the ERA is a little higher than most on this list, the 6-foot-5 lefty has again proven to be a dominant strikeout pitcher with 124 punch outs on the year – the third most in the country. Stanford comes into this year’s tournament ranked No. 8 and will be seeking a third consecutive College World Series appearance behind the arm of its senior leader.Â
