Top 10 pitchers in the 2023 NCAA D-I baseball tournament
2. Rhett Lowder, Wake Forest
Wake Forest has multiple guys on this list and a few others worthy of cracking it, but the leader among them is Lowder. The back-to-back ACC Pitcher of the Year has gone a perfect 13-0 this season for the Demon Deacons, which enter this year’s tournament as the No. 1 overall seed. Lowder’s 1.69 ERA is one of the best among starting pitchers across the country, and his 114 strikeouts are a career high. Along with Seth Keener, Sean Sullivan and Josh Hartle, Lowder has Wake Forest in uncharted territory, as the Demon Deacons have not been to or won a College World Series title since 1955.
Scary hours.
