Top 10 hitters in the 2023 NCAA D-I baseball tournament
7. Nick Kurtz, OF, Wake Forest
Another member of the Demon Deacons‘ strong offense is Kurtz, who ranks just a hair above Wilken. The sophomore outfielder is a bit more consistent with his bat, though not as powerful as he is slashing .379/.545/.857 with 23 home runs and 63 RBIs entering the tournament. He ranks No. 4 in the country in OPS at 1.393 while also ranking No. 3 in slugging percentage and on-base percentage and tied for 11th in home runs.
With both Kurtz and Wilken in the lineup, Wake Forest is more than deserving of the top seed in this year鈥檚 tournament as both batters have proven to be a threat when they come to the box.
Nick Kurtz had his 4th multi homer game of the season, helping propel past Notre Dame 7-5
