THE pickleball guide: Rules, basics, trick shots and more
Pickleball trick shots
Yes, the fundamentals are the more important thing. But pulling off a trick shot is so much more fun.
If you are in a place with your game where you feel comfortable trying to show off a bit, these are the three most common ways you can look like a pro.
The first way is the Erne shot.
If the opponent hits a dink shot that bounces into the kitchen, it is a perfect time to pull off this move.
Instead of entering the kitchen, the Erne is when you hit the ball while jumping over the targeted zone. The jump will take yourself out of play, so it is important to quickly adjust once you perform the shot.

The next shot is called the around-the-post shot or the ATP for short.聽
If the ball hit by the opponent takes you out of play, this is a prime opportunity to try an ATP shot. While standing out of play, you can redirect the ball literally around the post and back into play.

鈥淚’m going to wait for it to drop, so I get more and more space and more angle and then I’m gonna go around the post,鈥 Manasse said.
The final, and most difficult, shot is the tweener. This is essentially an in-between-the-legs shot and looks the coolest by far.
