4. Nico Zeglin, Long Beach State
Two seasons at Gonzaga had put the 6-foot-4 right-hander somewhat off the map with just over 50 total innings pitched. In a smaller role for the Bulldogs, Zeglin showed promise getting swings and misses during the 2021 and 2022 season but after transferring to Long Beach State for the 2023 campaign, Zeglin delivered the most impressive stretch of his collegiate career in 13 appearances with the team. Behind a 7-4 record, the Dirtbags starter put together a dominant opening season in an expanded role, pitching to a 2.21 ERA with 104 strikeouts. After just 56 total innings in the two previous seasons, Zeglin鈥檚 81.1 innings topped much of his past work and helped Long Beach State to a 28-21 record in 2023.
