Top 10 hitters in the 2023 NCAA D-I softball tournament
1. Skylar Wallace, INF, Florida
Topping the list is the ³Ò²¹³Ù´Ç°ù²õ’ star redshirt junior Wallace, a second-team All-American a year ago who has brought her game up yet again this year. Wallace currently leads the nation in slugging percentage at 1.036, the only player in the country over 1.0. She also ranks fifth in batting average at .460, tied for seventh with 19 home runs and at No. 16 with 55 RBIs.
Wallace has clearly established herself as the nation’s top hitter as she is a threat both to get on base at a high rate but also has the power to deposit the ball over the fence. While Florida may not rank as a top-16 seed in the tournament, with an offensive threat like Wallace, the Gators could be a Cinderella in this year’s field.
